Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Alimov has said that Russia is ready to provide a platform for dialogue aimed at resolving tensions between Iran and Arab countries, as well as between the United States and Iran.
Alimov said Moscow was prepared to facilitate peaceful negotiations but had no intention of imposing itself as a mediator, The Caspian Post reports via Izvestia.
He said Russia was willing to support efforts to peacefully resolve differences both between Washington and Tehran and between Iran and its Arab neighbors.
Alimov also noted that Moscow maintains close contacts with all key stakeholders involved in regional diplomacy, including Islamabad, Riyadh, and Ankara.
