Russia Says It Downed 187 Ukrainian Drones Overnight

Russia’s air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 187 Ukrainian drones overnight across multiple regions, according to the Russian defence ministry.

In a statement, the ministry said the drones were shot down between 20:00 Moscow time on 19 June and 07:00 on June 20, The Caspian Post reports.

It added that the unmanned aerial vehicles were detected over a wide area spanning several regions in western and southern Russia, as well as annexed Crimea, along with parts of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.

The ministry said the drones were downed over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Tula, Lipetsk, Rostov, Voronezh and Astrakhan regions, as well as the Krasnodar region and the Moscow region.
