Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has wrtitten that at least nine people were killed in a deadly Russian attack on the Ukrainian city of Ternopil.
Nine-story residential buildings were struck, sparking large fires and leaving residents trapped under debris, The Caspian Post informs via Zelenskyy's message on X.
“Unfortunately, there is significant destruction, and there may be people trapped under the rubble. All emergency services are on-site, doing everything they can to save lives,” Zelenskyy wrote.
Dozens have been injured so far, and rescue operations continue.
Zelenskyy also reported a massive strike on Kharkiv, where dozens of civilians - including children - were wounded. Energy facilities, transport networks, and civilian buildings were severely damaged. The Ivano-Frankivsk region saw attacks on its energy infrastructure as well, leaving three people injured, among them two children.
Further strikes targeted critical infrastructure in the Lviv region, while attacks were also recorded in Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, and the Dnipro region, the president said.
Ukraine’s emergency teams are continuing search and rescue efforts as nationwide Russian attacks escalate.
