A 58-year-old man who had been reported missing in Türkiye was found alive inside an empty coffin at a cemetery.

The man left his home and stopped communicating with his family. After their own search efforts failed, relatives reported his disappearance to the police, prompting a search operation, The Caspian Post reports via Haber7.

Police officers eventually located him at a cemetery, where he was discovered inside an empty coffin stored in a room used for funeral supplies.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and provided first aid before taking the man to a hospital as a precaution. Local officials said his condition is stable and his life is not in danger.

It remains unclear how or why the man ended up inside the coffin.
