All three people aboard a helicopter that disappeared from radar in Russia’s Amur Oblast have been confirmed dead, the regional branch of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said on Saturday.
The helicopter went missing on Thursday evening shortly after departing from a logging site in the Romnensky municipal district, The Caspian Post reports, citing Xinhua.
According to the Russian Investigative Committee, those on board included a pilot, an investigator and a police officer. They were returning from a site where the body of a logging worker, who had sustained fatal workplace injuries, had been found.
Authorities are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
