Tragedy on Volga: Sightseeing Boat Capsizes in Russia’s Kazan, Three Dead

A sightseeing boat has capsized on the Volga River in Kazan, Russia’s Tatarstan, leaving three people dead.

Six individuals were on board at the time of the accident, The Caspian Post informs via Russian media.

Preliminary information indicates that the incident occurred in Zelenodolsky district of Tatarstan in the afternoon. Russian media confirmed the fatalities.

The Central Investigative Department has launched a preliminary inquiry to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident. A procedural decision will be made once the investigation is complete.
