A freight train in Russia's Irkutsk region fatally struck three people, including two children aged 3 and 10.
Governor Igor Kobzev confirmed the incident on social media, noting that the train driver applied emergency brakes, but the collision could not be avoided, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.
The accident occurred at the 5115th kilometer of the Usolye-Sibirskoye-Malta section of the East Siberian Railway, highlighting the dangers at railway crossings in the region.
