Türkiye and Armenia Restart Direct Trade Relations

According to the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Türkiye and Armenia have officially resumed direct trade relations.

According to the ministry, preparations for the start of direct trade were completed on May 11, 2026, as part of the normalization process between the two countries that has been ongoing since 2022, The Caspian Post reports, citing Report.

The ministry also noted that efforts toward the opening of the border between Türkiye and Armenia are still underway.
