Türkiye's Meteorological General Directorate has warned of an approaching cold weather front that will initially affect western regions before spreading across the country.
Weather alerts have been issued for 23 provinces, with a yellow warning in 21 provinces and an orange warning in two, TRT Haber reports.
The orange alert covers Hatay and Osmaniye, while yellow warnings have been issued for Adana and Gaziantep. These areas are expected to experience heavy rainfall, raising the risk of flash floods, waterlogging and landslides.
Yellow weather warnings have also been announced for 19 other provinces, including Istanbul, Izmir, Bursa, Balikesir, Kocaeli and Sakarya.
Heavy rainfall and strong winds, potentially reaching storm-force gusts, are forecast along the Aegean coast and across the Marmara region.
Police have urged residents to take precautions due to the risk of flash floods, landslides, falling trees, roof damage and disruptions to transport services.
