Two forest fires have broken out in the Kozan district of Türkiye’s Adana province, with firefighting teams using both aircraft and ground crews to bring the blazes under control.

One fire started for an unknown reason in a rural area of Doğanalani. While crews were battling the flames, a second fire broke out in the Dağılcak area, according to TRT Haber.

Strong winds have accelerated the spread of the fires, prompting authorities to carry out precautionary evacuations from some settlements as a safety measure.

Firefighting helicopters and specialized equipment have been deployed to the affected areas. Ground teams are also working to contain the flames and prevent them from spreading further.

Efforts to control both fires are continuing, while the cause of the initial blaze has not yet been determined.
