The US Armed Forces reportedly spent around $779 million during the first 24 hours of combat operations in the Middle East, equivalent to roughly 0.1 per cent of the country’s total military budget for 2026.
The largest expense was for Tomahawk missile launches, costing $340.4 million. Fighter jet sorties came second at $271.3 million, followed by the use of the HIMARS rocket system, intelligence gathering, and logistical support, which totaled $122.2 million, The Caspian Post reports via Turkish media.
Strategic B-2 bomber strikes alone accounted for $30.2 million.
