On October 19, the WTA 500 international tennis tournament concluded in Ningbo, China, with Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina winning the singles title, The Caspian post reports.
The leader of the Kazakhstan women's team defeated Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova in three sets in the decisive match for the Chinese tournament trophy - 3:6, 6:0, 6:2.
With this victory, Rybakina earned the necessary ranking points and will officially become the world's seventh-ranked tennis player on October 20, 2025.
For the title on the courts of Ningbo, Elena put 500 points into her piggy bank and earned 101,000 dollars (54,259,220 tenge).
Now our tennis player has a good chance of getting into the list of participants of the Final Tournament.
