As part of their preparations for the FIFA World Cup, the Uzbekistan national football team will play a friendly match against Canada in June.
The Uzbekistan Football Association confirmed that the game is scheduled for June 1 in Edmonton, Canada, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.
The match will be part of Uzbekistan’s build-up to the upcoming global tournament. Canada is one of the host nations for the FIFA World Cup.
Previously, Uzbekistan was drawn into Group C alongside Portugal and Colombia. The third opponent will be determined later through playoff matches involving New Caledonia, Jamaica, and the DR Congo.
