The second Central Asia-Russia summit is scheduled to take place in Dushanbe, Tajikistan on October 9, on the sidelines of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Heads of State Summit.
The high-level meeting will bring together the presidents of Central Asian nations and the Russian Federation to discuss a wide range of issues aimed at strengthening regional cooperation, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.
Key topics on the agenda include coordination in combating terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, and other cross-border security threats. The summit is also expected to address economic, political, and humanitarian collaboration between Russia and Central Asian states.
At the conclusion of the summit, the participating countries are set to adopt a Final Communiqué and a Joint Action Plan outlining future steps for multilateral cooperation.
Preparations are underway in Dushanbe as the city gears up to host both the Central Asia-Russia summit and the broader CIS Heads of State Summit.
