The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Summit of Heads of State is set to take place on October 10 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
The summit will address critical international issues, focusing on regional and global security challenges. Leaders will prioritize deepening political dialogue, enhancing trade and economic cooperation, and expanding collaboration in humanitarian and cultural fields within the CIS framework, The Caspian Post reports via the Tajik Foreign Ministry.
At the conclusion of the summit, participating leaders are expected to sign a series of agreements designed to strengthen multilateral cooperation and promote mutually beneficial partnerships among member states.
In a related development, on October 9, the presidents of Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Russia will gather in Dushanbe for the second “Central Asia - Russia” summit. Discussions will cover a broad spectrum of topics aimed at fostering multifaceted cooperation, including joint efforts to combat terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, and other transnational threats.
The summit is anticipated to conclude with the adoption of a final communiqué and a comprehensive joint action plan to guide future collaboration.
