Tajikistan’s Export Engine Accelerates with $953 Million in Industrial Sales

The Export Agency under the Tajik government has announced that Tajikistan’s industrial exports-excluding precious metals and gemstones-surpassed $953 million from January to June 2025, marking a 36.6 per cent increase year-on-year.

First Deputy Director of the agency Khurshed Zuhurzoda noted that the growth reflects increasing international demand for Tajikistan’s raw and semi-processed industrial goods, The Caspian Post reports, citing Tajik media.

The country’s primary export destinations during the period included the Netherlands, China, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, and Russia.

Zuhurzoda emphasized that raw materials accounted for 70 per cent of exports, with finished industrial goods making up the remaining 30 per cent.

Top 10 Exported Products in H1 2025

1. Antimony

Export value: $286.5 million

Change from 2024: 3.2x increase (from $88.3 million)

Volume: 6,482.5 tons (down 6 per cent)

Despite a slight drop in physical volume, antimony remained Tajikistan’s most lucrative industrial export.

2. Aluminum

Revenue: $120.5 million (+33.1 per cent)

Volume: 47.6k tons (+23.7 per cent)

Aluminum held strong as one of the country's leading exports.

3. Metal and Precious Stone Concentrates

Revenue: $98 million (+71.4 per cent)

Volume: 40.8k tons (+60.3 per cent)

Significant increases in both value and quantity signal rising global interest.

4. Lead and Lead Concentrates

Revenue: $89.2 million (+57.7 per cent)

Volume: 52.1k tons (+37.1 per cent)

5. Zinc and Zinc Concentrates

Revenue: $52.5 million (+38.7 per cent)

Volume: 63.3k tons (+19 per cent)

6. Electricity

Revenue: $54.9 million (+57.8 per cent)

Tajikistan’s energy exports saw strong gains, buoyed by increased regional demand.

7. Clothing

Revenue: $14.1 million (+39.2 per cent)

The textile and apparel sector demonstrated steady growth in foreign markets.

8. Copper

Revenue: $12.1 million (+57.2 per cent)

Volume: 3.3k tons (+33.3 per cent)

9. Aluminum Profiles, Scrap, and Waste

Revenue: $11.9 million (+92 per cent)

Volume: Over 4k tons (+49.3 per cent)

The near-doubling in export revenue highlights the increasing value of recycled aluminum products.

10. Coal

Revenue: $10.8 million

Volume: 267.5k tons (6x increase from 44.7k tons)

Coal posted the largest volume increase among top exports.
