Korean Culture Week Brings Seoul’s Spirit to Turkmenistan

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Turkmenistan is preparing to host an exciting cultural event, Korean Culture Week, aimed at bringing a taste of Korea’s rich heritage to residents and visitors of Ashgabat.

The celebration will take place on October 3 at the Arkach Shopping and Entertainment Center, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.

The event promises a dynamic lineup of activities designed to immerse attendees in Korean culture. Highlights include calligraphy workshops where participants can learn to write their names using Hangul, Korea’s unique alphabet. Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore a themed photo zone titled “Journey to Korea,” alongside exhibitions showcasing traditional Korean arts, customs, and cultural heritage.

Organizers stress that Korean Culture Week is intended to strengthen cultural ties and foster mutual understanding between the peoples of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea.

The festivities will commence at 5:00 p.m. (GMT+5), with free admission open to all guests.
