On January 9, Stanislav Chepurnoi, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Turkmenistan, met with Bahar Seyidova, the Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers for Culture, Tourism, and Media Affairs, as reported by the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties discussed cooperation in culture, including the exchange of culture days, exhibitions, and other events. Consideration was also given to the resumption of direct flights between Minsk and Ashgabat as a factor contributing to the development of tourism, The Caspian Post reports, citing BelTA.
As BelTA has reported, on the same day the Belarusian ambassador met with Deputy Prime Minister for Agriculture Tangryguly Atahallyev of Turkmenistan. The parties discussed cooperation between the two countries in the field of agriculture, the participation of a Turkmen delegation in the Belarusian Agricultural Week and the international exhibition Belagro 2026. The parties reaffirmed commitment to intensifying contacts between the agricultural scientific organizations in veterinary science, seed production, and animal husbandry.
