Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in keeping with tradition, attended a performance of New Year at the main tree of the country. This event brought a special feeling of joy to the happy children, The Caspian Post reports, citing the Turkmenistan Today.
In one of the picturesque corners of white marble Ashgabat, in front of the «Älem» Cultural and entertainment centre, a large-scale celebration of New Year unfolded. The main tree of the country, crowned with an eight-pointed star bearing the inscription «2026», has become not only the centre of festive events, but also a striking symbol of the unbreakable unity of the Turkmen people and the prosperity of the Fatherland. On this day, Ashgabat turned into a true wonderland for the young guests who arrived from all over the country, from the capital and the city of Arkadag. Feelings of joy and delight filled the hearts of the children who came to the celebration. Sparkling toys, shimmering multi-coloured lights, and exquisite decorations seemed to herald the arrival of a great holiday, instilling confidence in a bright future.
All children who participated in the celebration were given gifts of the New Year. At the request of the children, Arkadagly Hero Serdar took a photo with young Turkmen citizens at the main tree of the country in memory of event of today.
Arkadagly Hero Serdar enters the large hall of the Chamber of commerce and industry building, elegantly decorated with bright decorations and paraphernalia of the New Year. Gathered around the beautiful tree in joyful anticipation of a fairy tale of the New Year were Ayaz baba, Garpamyk, the Horse, the symbol of 2026, and numerous young Ashgabat residents in carnival costumes, as well as guests of the capital. Everyone joyfully greeted the head of state.
Members of the Government also came to the celebration of children, and, like Arkadagly Hero Serdar, they brought their children and grandchildren with them. The heads of diplomatic missions and representative offices accredited in Turkmenistan, as well as consular offices of our country in foreign countries, along with their children, also took part in the celebration of the New Year.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov enjoys watching performances by pop artists, theatre and circus performers, folk and dance groups, creative groups of children, and talented children of all ages, including kindergarten pupils. A grand performance unfolded on the festively decorated stage, featuring cheerful music, songs, and fiery dances, which became a dedication to the New Year.
