Russia’s Bashkortostan Makes First Ever Sunflower Meal Shipment to Turkmenistan

Russia’s Republic of Bashkortostan has marked a milestone in its export history by making its first-ever shipment of sunflower meal to Turkmenistan.

Bashkortostan is actively expanding its export footprint by broadening the range of countries importing its animal feed products, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.

Recently, a trial shipment of 63 tons of sunflower meal pellets was dispatched to Turkmenistan, marking a significant step in the region’s international trade efforts.

Produced by Bashkortostan’s largest oil extraction plant, the sunflower meal underwent rigorous testing to ensure quality. Samples taken from the initial batch passed all evaluations, confirming full compliance with the state standards and meeting the strict regulatory requirements set by Turkmenistan.

This export initiative is part of Bashkortostan’s national project, “International Cooperation and Export”, which seeks to enhance the region’s role in global markets by promoting high-quality local products and strengthening international partnerships.
