Last week, 12 transactions were recorded at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan, with the total value of foreign exchange deals surpassing $6.324 million.
Afghan business representatives were among the key buyers, using foreign currency to purchase carbamide produced at the facilities of the Turkmenhimiya State Concern, highlighting sustained demand for Turkmen chemical products in regional markets, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.
In another deal, Portland cement was sold to Turkish entrepreneurs for foreign currency, reflecting continued export activity in the construction materials sector.
Meanwhile, domestic trade also remained active. Turkmen companies acquired potassium chloride, technical sulfuric acid produced by Turkmenhimiya, as well as cotton fabric for the local market. The total value of these domestic transactions amounted to around 333 million manats ($95.045 million).
