Turkmen Visitors Flood Into Russia as Summer Travel Jumps 68%

Turkmenistan has emerged as one of the fastest-growing sources of inbound travel to Russia, posting an impressive 68.2 per cent surge in the third quarter of 2025.

Between July and September, Russians recorded 24,100 visits from Turkmen travelers - placing Turkmenistan fourth among all inbound markets, The Caspian Post informs via Turkmen media.

Overall, foreign visitors made 655,800 trips to Russia in Q3. China remained the dominant source with 372,800 visits, though arrivals from China dropped by 13.3 per cent.

Germany ranked second (27,400 visits), while Saudi Arabia entered the top three for the first time with 25,909 arrivals - boosted by newly launched direct flights.

The UAE placed fifth with 21,500 visits (-10.1 per cent). Türkiye also strengthened its position, moving from seventh to sixth with a 12.2 per cent increase in travel flow.

India rose to eighth place thanks to a strong 59 per cent jump in arrivals.

The biggest surge came from Oman, which saw trips grow 2.2 times. With 8,900 visits, Oman entered Russia’s top 10 inbound markets for the first time, securing ninth place.
