On Wednesday, Afghanistan's Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi and Turkmenistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Rashid Muradov held a video call to discuss strengthening political and economic ties between their nations.
The meeting focused on several key topics, including the TAPI pipeline, railway projects, trade, and transit cooperation, The Caspian Post reports citing foreign media.
Minister Muttaqi reaffirmed the Afghanistan government’s commitment to developing major economic initiatives, emphasizing the importance of cooperation for regional prosperity.
Deputy Minister Muradov reported positive progress on the TAPI project, which aims to transport natural gas from Turkmenistan through Afghanistan to Pakistan and India. He also announced plans to improve visa facilities for Afghan businessmen, aiming to facilitate trade and investment.
