Turkmenistan and China Sign Agreement on Economic and Sci-Tech Cooperation

On August 25, 2025, a signing ceremony for the Agreement on Technical and Economic Cooperation between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the People's Republic of China was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The Agreement is designed to promote the expansion of interaction in the field of economic, scientific, technical and infrastructure cooperation between Turkmenistan and the People's Republic of China, The Caspian Post reports citing the country's Foreign Ministry.

The document was signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan Ji Shumin.

The signed document is aimed at exchanging accumulated positive experience, discussing issues of practical implementation of advanced innovative solutions in leading sectors of the economy, as well as enhancing partnership in this area between Turkmenistan and the People's Republic of China.
