During the World Chinese Language Conference in Beijing, the Turkmen delegation has met with the Director of China’s Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) to discuss the current state and future prospects of Chinese language education cooperation in Turkmenistan.
A key focus of the talks was improving teacher training and expanding educational collaboration between the two countries, The Caspian Post informs via Turkmen media.
The Turkmen side reaffirmed its strong interest in continuing the successful practice of inviting native Chinese-language instructors from China.
Several major areas of cooperation were outlined:
Academic mobility: sending native-speaking teachers to Turkmen universities and offering scholarships for Turkmen students to study in China.
Methodological support: helping develop Chinese language centers and jointly creating modern textbooks, digital content, and multimedia resources.
Joint programs: organizing short-term exchanges, summer and winter language schools, conferences, and international youth programs.
The Turkmen delegation praised the progress made in implementing the memorandums signed in 2023 with several Turkmen universities.
The meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere, underscoring both sides’ commitment to strengthening humanitarian cooperation and expanding academic ties - an important step for deepening cultural exchange between Turkmenistan and China.
