Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhammedov has extended his congratulations to Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, the 17th King of Malaysia Sultan Ibrahim, and the Malaysian people on the occasion of their National Day.
In his message, the Turkmen leader highlighted that Turkmenistan highly values its friendly relations with Malaysia, which continue growing and gaining new depth, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.
He emphasized that Ashgabat and Kuala Lumpur are building a mutually beneficial partnership, with special attention given to people-to-people contacts, including in education and science.
President Berdimuhammedov expressed confidence that further expansion of bilateral cooperation would serve the interests of both nations. He also wished Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Sultan Ibrahim health, happiness, and prosperity, and the Malaysian people peace, progress, and well-being.
Malaysia is considered a promising partner for Turkmenistan in trade, economic development, energy, and education. The energy sector holds a particularly important place in bilateral relations, including Petronas’ involvement in hydrocarbon projects in Turkmenistan, the development of oil and gas fields in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, and the implementation of joint projects in modern technologies.
