Turkmenistan Investment Forum 2025 Opens with Focus on Energy, Industry, and Infrastructure

The opening day of the Turkmenistan Investment Forum (TIF 2025) has begun with high-level discussions centered on the country’s key economic sectors.

International experts, industry leaders, and Turkmen officials gathered to explore investment opportunities in energy, construction, logistics, and sustainable development, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.

The day’s agenda featured a series of thematic sessions aimed at attracting foreign investment and highlighting Turkmenistan’s growth potential.

Session 1: “Stable and Reliable Energy Resilience” brought together representatives from Turkmenistan’s leading state energy enterprises - Turkmengaz and Turkmennebit - alongside executives from major international firms including Dragon Oil, PETRONAS, and TotalEnergies. Discussions focused on the future of Turkmenistan’s fuel and energy complex, regional cooperation, and strategies for long-term energy security.

In Session 2: “New Trends in Construction and Industry,” global companies such as Daewoo E&C, Wirtgen Group, and Primetals Technologies explored opportunities in industrial development, smart infrastructure, and advanced engineering solutions.

Later in the day, sessions turned to transport and digital connectivity, with a focus on “Development of Reliable Transport and Communication Infrastructure,” featuring insights from experts at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), World Bank, and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). A dedicated panel on climate-resilient agriculture followed, with participation from John Deere and leading international agribusiness consultants.

The strong presence of multinational corporations and global financial institutions underlines a growing international interest in Turkmenistan’s investment landscape. Delegates emphasized the importance of translating dialogue into tangible, long-term projects across strategic sectors.

TIF 2025 continues with additional sessions on financial innovation, digital transformation, and public-private partnerships.
