Turkmenistan Leads Regional Dialogue on Peace and Stability at Economic Cooperation Organization’s Institute

The Cultural Institute of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Iran has hosted a significant conference titled “The Policy of Peace and Trust - the Foundation of International Security, Stability and Development,” organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The event celebrated the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence, The Caspian Post informs via Turkmen media.

The conference brought together a distinguished assembly, including the Secretary-General of the ECO and his deputies, senior officials from Iran’s Foreign Ministry, members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, foreign ambassadors accredited to Iran, and other esteemed guests.

Key speeches were delivered by Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Iran, the ECO Secretary-General, a senior official from Iran’s Foreign Ministry, a parliamentarian from Iran, and notable literary figures. The speakers warmly congratulated Turkmenistan on its 34 years of independence, emphasizing the country’s remarkable progress, growing economic potential, and continued political stability. They also highlighted the significance of the recent Halk Maslahaty (People’s Council) session held on September 19, guided by Turkmenistan’s National Leader.

The conference was complemented by a vibrant cultural program, featuring traditional songs, music, and performances by Iranian Turkmens. An exhibition displaying Turkmen culture, heritage, and visual arts was held, and guests were treated to authentic Turkmen cuisine, adding a rich cultural dimension to the event.
