The Turkmen Education Ministry has announced that Lebap Province is set to welcome 24,830 first-grade pupils for the 2025-2026 academic year.
In a special gesture, first-time schoolgoers will receive gift computers on behalf of the president, The Caspian Post informs per Turkmen media.
The province’s education system currently includes 384 general education schools, 3 boarding schools, and a rehabilitation and training complex, serving a total of 337,093 pupils. The 2024-2025 school year saw 21,364 graduates complete their studies in the region.
Lebap also hosts 284 preschools with 54,957 children and about 40 specialized schools providing advanced instruction in select subjects.
Preparations for the new school year have been completed efficiently, with all schools and preschools undergoing light maintenance and renovation before August. Schools are now fully ready to welcome pupils and ensure a smooth start to the 2025-2026 academic year.
