Turkmenistan’s energy sector hits record gas production

Turkmenistan’s fuel and energy sector is achieving significant milestones, with a strong focus on scientific approaches to industry development.

During the first phase of developing the Galkynysh gas field in Mary province, an operational well No. 110 was drilled to a depth of 4,180 meters, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.

Tests in the open borehole interval from 4,149 to 4,015 meters produced a commercial natural gas flow exceeding 2 million cubic meters per day.

At the Toparjulba field in the Central Karakum gas complex, well No. 264 was drilled to 1,200 meters. In the Lower Cretaceous section between 1,085-1,082 meters, a commercial gas inflow of approximately 300,000 cubic meters per day was obtained.

Exploration and development of new fields have increased oil and gas production, reflecting the consistent strengthening of Turkmenistan’s fuel and energy infrastructure and the integration of modern scientific achievements and innovative technologies into production.
