Turkmenistan's state concern, "Türkmennebit", has surpassed its planned oil production targets by 7.1%, achieving a plan fulfillment rate of 107.1% for January-March 2025.
This achievement was announced by Batyr Amanov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, during a government meeting held by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov through the digital system, The Caspian Post reports, citing Turkmen media.
According to the presented report, the country's fuel and energy sector demonstrated positive dynamics in all key areas. The plan for oil refining was also fulfilled by 107,1%, for gasoline production - by 102%, diesel fuel - by 100,8%, polypropylene - by 100,1%, and lubricating oils - by 100,4%.The growth in liquefied gas production was particularly noticeable, with the growth rate reaching 117,9%. Natural and associated gas production exceeded the plan by 4,8%.
The president of Turkmenistan, having heard the report, emphasized the strategic importance of further increasing oil and natural gas production, as well as consistently increasing the volume of hydrocarbon exports. The head of state gave the Deputy Prime Minister a number of instructions on the efficient use of the complex's production capacities and the continuation of drilling exploratory wells in promising areas of the country.
