Afghan airline Kam Air has signed an interline agreement with Uzbekistan Airways, allowing Afghan travelers to transit more seamlessly via Tashkent to destinations across Europe, the US, and other international routes served by the Uzbek carrier.
Based in Kabul, Kam Air operates a fleet of 12 aircraft as of August 2025, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Uzbekistan Airways, the national flag carrier of Uzbekistan, was established in 1992 and operates from its hub at Tashkent International Airport. As of June 2025, the airline maintains an operational fleet of 47 aircraft.
In related aviation developments, Kazakhstan and Japan are set to expand air services with the launch of a new Almaty-Tokyo route, strengthening connectivity between Central Asia and East Asia.
