As part of the Third Belarus-Uzbekistan Women's Business Forum, the sixth session focused on the role of youth in promoting democratic principles, upholding the rule of law, and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The discussion brought together parliamentarians and representatives of the Uzbek Youth Parliament, who emphasized its success as a platform for engaging young people in governance and supporting their legislative initiatives, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
Key topics included digital equality, the development of leadership skills among young women in information technology and artificial intelligence, and support for startup projects. Uzbekistan’s experience in these areas was highlighted as a positive model.
The session also addressed Uzbekistan’s “Green Diplomacy” initiative, designed to foster an environmental culture among youth, encourage their contributions to environmental protection, and advance the SDGs.
Participants discussed opportunities to expand youth cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus, including exchange programs, joint projects, and the creation of dialogue platforms to strengthen bilateral engagement.
