Agro-Logistics Complex Construction Starts in Uzbekistan

Construction has started on a $50 million agro-logistics complex in the Kuva district of Ferghana Region, Uzbekistan, as part of the Uzbek-Russian joint venture LLC “Energy-land”.

The opening ceremony was held via videoconference with Ferghana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov and Omsk Region Governor Vitaliy Khotsenko, alongside investors, district officials, and public representatives, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The project will feature a processing facility for 20,000 tons of fruits and vegetables per year, cold storage warehouses for 30,000 tons, a hotel, and supporting infrastructure. It is expected to create 500 jobs and facilitate the export of agricultural products worth up to $100 million annually.

Bozorov emphasized the complex’s importance for the Ferghana Valley and access to Russian and international markets, while Khotsenko highlighted the strategic significance of Uzbek-Russian cooperation and the strong demand for Uzbek produce and textiles in Russia. The construction officially began with the laying of the first stone.
