Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have discussed key issues related to managing cyber threats in the banking sector.
The discussions took place during a meeting at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) with a delegation from the Cybersecurity Center of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
The talks focused on strengthening cooperation in financial cybersecurity amid growing digital risks.
The meeting was attended by Akif Baghirov, adviser to the chairman of the CBA, and Elnur Eyvazli, Director of the Information and Cybersecurity Department. Participants exchanged views on improving the regulatory and legal framework for cybersecurity, shared experience related to FINCERT operations, and discussed practical approaches to cyber threat management in the banking system.
The talks highlighted the importance of cross-border cooperation and knowledge exchange in ensuring the resilience and security of national financial systems in an increasingly digital environment.
