Azerbaijan's Heydar Aliyev International Airport and Uzbekistan Airports are stepping up cooperation to modernize airport infrastructure and implement advanced digital and eco-friendly technologies.
The discussions took place at the International Aviation and Logistics Forum in Tashkent, where Javlonbek Umarhodzhaev, Chairman of Uzbekistan Airports, met with Teymur Hasanov, Director of Heydar Aliyev International Airport, The Caspian Post informs via local media.
“Both sides reviewed ongoing work on upgrading airport infrastructure in both countries, focusing on energy-saving, eco-friendly, and digital solutions to improve passenger comfort and safety. Airport development is a key part of sustainable transport growth and strengthens the transit potential of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan,” the statement said.
As part of the initiative, the Uzbekistan Airports delegation is visiting Baku to study best practices and operational solutions for potential implementation in Uzbek airports.
