The international congress “Spiritual Heritage and Enlightenment in Central Asia” is currently underway in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
An Azerbaijani delegation headed by Minister of Culture Adil Karimli is taking part in the event, The Caspian Post informs via local media.
During the Ministerial Conference held on November 14 as part of the congress, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov opened the session, stressing the importance of the gathering for the region’s friendly nations. He expressed confidence that the congress would make a meaningful contribution to strengthening cultural collaboration.
In his address, Karimli thanked his Uzbek counterpart for the invitation to this high-level forum. He noted that President Ilham Aliyev places particular emphasis on expanding ties with Central Asian states. Karimli highlighted that relations with the five regional partners have intensified in recent years, with cultural cooperation - a vital bridge between nations - growing steadily.
Other speakers included Kazakhstan’s Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva, Tajikistan’s Minister of Culture Matlubakhon Sattoriyen, Turkmenistan’s Minister of Culture Atageldi Shamyradov, and Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy Mirbek Mambataliev.
The ministers emphasized the increasing importance of cultural integration across Central Asia and discussed opportunities to further deepen cooperation.
