China’s Tianjin city has recently hosted the Global Mayors Dialogue · SCO Summit Cities forum, gathering city leaders from member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to discuss key issues including digitalization, sustainable development, and enhanced cooperation between cities.
Central to the discussions was the promotion of smart city initiatives leveraging artificial intelligence, big data, and cloud computing technologies, The Caspian Post reports, citing Turkmen media.
These innovations aim to elevate urban governance efficiency and improve the quality of city services for residents.
Forum participants emphasized the critical need to strengthen transportation and logistics infrastructure, accelerate the adoption of green energy, foster cultural exchanges, and broaden sister city relationships to build stronger regional ties.
