Uzbekistan has received its first charter cargo flight from Pakistan, marking a new step in bilateral cooperation on food supply.
The Boeing 737 arrived from Lahore at Tashkent International Airport on March 12 at 21:10 (GMT+5), carrying a shipment of food products, including 17 tons of meat, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
The flight was operated by Pakistani airline Air Eagle on the initiative of charter company Air Speed Charter, which plans to expand future flights with larger cargo loads.
Officials say the project will gradually increase air cargo volumes, with plans to eventually transport up to 100 tons per flight. The new route is expected to strengthen trade ties between Uzbekistan and Pakistan and boost the country’s food supply chain.
