A gas explosion has rocked a residential high-rise in eastern Uzbekistan, leaving two people injured and prompting urgent safety measures.
The blast occurred in a ninth-floor apartment of a nine-story building located in the “Nodirabegim” district of Andijan, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
According to the regional Emergency Situations Department, two residents sustained bodily injuries. Officials confirmed that no fire broke out and that other apartments in the building were not damaged.
