A gas explosion tore through a four-story residential building in Kokand, Uzbekistan, on February 25.

The incident occurred in the Buston neighborhood, with emergency services receiving the first alert at 14:47 (GMT+5), The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The blast triggered a fire and caused severe damage: balconies and the building entrance were heavily affected, windows shattered, a fence was destroyed, and a tree was uprooted. Debris from the building and furniture covered the courtyard, and eyewitness videos suggest the second floor may have partially collapsed.

According to official reports, no injuries were recorded. Emergency teams quickly extinguished the fire, and the situation is now fully under control. Rescue crews continue to clear debris and manage the aftermath of the explosion.
