His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan has met with Sardor Umurzakov, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Strategic Development, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between the two nations.
The visit by the high-level Uzbek delegation follows King Abdullah’s official trip to Uzbekistan last month and serves as a continuation of the dialogue and agreements forged during that visit. In addition to the royal audience, the delegation is expected to meet with several senior Jordanian officials to further explore avenues of cooperation, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
During the meeting, King Abdullah reaffirmed the strong historical ties and enduring friendship between Jordan and Uzbekistan. He emphasized the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation across key sectors such as trade, investment, healthcare, education, tourism, and defense.
The King also stressed the need for close coordination to implement the outcomes of the Tashkent visit, which saw the signing of nine cooperation agreements and protocols, as well as three memoranda of understanding, laying the groundwork for deeper collaboration between the two countries.
In addition to bilateral matters, the two sides discussed pressing regional developments, with particular focus on the humanitarian and political situations in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem.
