Parliamentarians, Entrepreneurs Join Forces to Expand Uzbekistan’s Export Potential

The members of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis (Uzbek parliament) on International Relations, Foreign Economic Ties, Foreign Investments, and Tourism have met with representatives of the Association of Exporters of Uzbekistan and foreign trade entrepreneurs to discuss measures for supporting domestic producers and boosting the country’s export potential.

Key topics included enhancing the legislative framework, providing favorable conditions and incentives for exporters, establishing trade houses and warehouses abroad, and improving transport and logistics infrastructure, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.

The Senate also emphasized its role in assisting companies with obtaining international certification for Uzbek products.

The meeting highlighted that under the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy, the country aims to increase national exports to $30 billion by 2026. Entrepreneurship was recognized as a vital driver of economic growth, with state support ensuring domestic companies can actively participate in international exhibitions and promote the “Made in Uzbekistan” brand globally.

Participants agreed to further strengthen parliamentary support for export development, provide comprehensive assistance to entrepreneurs, expand foreign economic relations, and reinforce effective mechanisms for cooperation.
