Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov arrived in Samarkand on April 3 for a working visit to take part in the Central Asia-European Union Summit.
President Japarov was met by Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and other officials, The Caspian Post reports citing Akipress.
The head of state today will meet with President of the European Council Antonio Costa and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. The Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan will hold an official meeting also.
The talks will focus on political, trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the European Union and Uzbekistan.
On April 4, Sadyr Japarov will take part in the Central Asia-European Union Summit and will address the international forum "Central Asia in the Face of Global Climate Threats: Solidarity for Common Prosperity".
The summit and the international climate forum are expected to result in the adoption of joint documents.
