South Korea to Grant 100 Emergency Vehicles to Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan is set to receive 100 emergency medical service vehicles through a grant provided by DK Consultants, a South Korean-based company.

According to the Ministry of Health, a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Health Farhod Toshpulatov recently visited South Korea, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

As part of the visit, the delegation met with representatives of DK Consultants to discuss further development of bilateral cooperation in the healthcare sector and the implementation of prospective projects.

During the meeting, a memorandum worth $7 million was signed to deliver 100 emergency ambulances to Uzbekistan using grant funds allocated by the company. The initiative is aimed at further improving the country’s 103 emergency medical service system.

Under the agreement, the purchase of the vehicles is planned for the first half of 2026.

The talks also covered proposals to place Tashkent City Clinical Hospital No. 7 under management based on a public-private partnership, as well as plans to construct a modern treatment facility at the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Endocrinology.
