Tourism Drives Uzbekistan’s Economic Growth Forward

Tourism organizations continue playing a key role in Uzbekistan’s economic development.

The National Statistics Committee revealed that from January to August 2025, travel agencies, tour operators, and related booking services generated a total revenue of 2.2 trillion Uzbek soms, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.

This figure represents a remarkable 44 per cent increase compared to the same period last year, highlighting the rapid growth of the tourism sector.

The top five regions leading this surge in tourism services were Tashkent City, Samarkand, Khorezm, Tashkent region, and Bukhara. Together, these areas accounted for 97.1 per cent of the total volume of tourism-related services, underlining their importance as key tourist destinations.
