Uzbekistan's Gulistan State University has signed a memorandum of cooperation with China’s Beifang Automotive Education Group, marking a new step in strengthening international ties in vocational and higher education.
A delegation from Gulistan State University led by Rector Mukhsin Khodjiyev visited China, where talks were held with the leadership of the automotive-focused vocational education group, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in education, scientific and practical exchange, and workforce training. The signed memorandum aims to strengthen professional education in the automotive sector and align academic training with industry standards.
Under the agreement, an automotive training and education center will be established at Gulistan State University, equipped with modern laboratories and learning infrastructure meeting international standards. The partners plan to jointly develop curricula and teaching materials, as well as gradually introduce faculty and specialist exchange programs.
The initiative also envisages advanced training courses and internships in China, along with joint certification of graduates, awarding international qualifications. Overall, the memorandum is designed to expand academic mobility, foster joint projects, and improve the quality of training for highly skilled automotive specialists.
During the visit, the Gulistan delegation was presented with Beifang’s material and technical capabilities and its research and innovation activities, including live demonstrations of laboratory work and training equipment in action.
