At the invitation of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty and National Leader of the Turkmen People, Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for Turkmenistan on August 22 for a working visit.
During his visit, President Mirziyoyev is set to participate in the Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan summit, held at the Avaza National Tourist Zone, and will also hold bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the summit to strengthen regional cooperation, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Meanwhile, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Kyrgyzstan for an official visit, where he was welcomed at Manas International Airport by his Kyrgyz counterpart, President Sadyr Zhaparov. On August 22, both leaders are expected to conduct bilateral talks and attend the 7th meeting of the Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan Supreme Interstate Council, further advancing strategic partnership and regional collaboration.
