Laziz Kudratov, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, has engaged in a series of strategic forums and high-level meetings during his recent visit to Germany, meeting with officials from top financial institutions and companies from countries in the World Alliance of International Financial Centers.
During the visit, Kudratov held talks with executives at Deutsche Bank and Frankfurt Main Finance, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.
A highlight was signing a Memorandum of Cooperation with Frankfurt Main Finance, aimed at boosting Uzbekistan’s financial sector and strengthening institutional ties. He also met with Vietnam’s First Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh to explore expanding economic cooperation and launching joint projects.
One key event was a forum with Franklin Templeton centered on Uzbekistan’s National Investment Fund, focused on financing large-scale projects across the country. He also held discussions with senior leaders in energy, infrastructure, communications, finance, urban development, and industrial production.
Another major forum, titled “Growth Partner Uzbekistan - Strategy, Projects, Performance,” held with Commerzbank, explored new mechanisms for financing bilateral projects and expanding cooperation.
The delegation emphasized their goal of enhancing synergies and reinforcing global investment frameworks as Uzbekistan continues to elevate its role in international economic alliances.
Earlier in the year, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) confirmed plans to assist in modernizing Uzbekistan’s power supply system - a sign of growing foreign participation in key infrastructure development.
