Uzbek Police Officer Rescues Mother of Four from Icy River

A district police inspector in Uzbekistan's Bukhara Region has saved a young woman - a mother of four - after she jumped into an icy river.

The incident occurred on January 29 at around 4:30 p.m. (GMT+5) on the riverbank running through the center of Vobkent District, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The rescue was carried out by Captain Amrillo Rasulov, a prevention inspector with the Vobkent district police department. Witnessing the woman being swept away by a strong current, he immediately jumped into the freezing water. Acting within seconds, Rasulov managed to reach her, keep her afloat, and pull her safely to the shore.

Emergency medical teams and law enforcement officers quickly arrived at the scene. The woman was taken to a district hospital, where she received necessary medical care. Doctors said her condition is now stable.
